Yesterday, a man on The Price is Right guessed the exact price during the Showcase, which is pretty amazing when you consider that it hasn’t been done (on the daytime version) um…ever. The last perfect bid was on the nighttime version in 1972. Pretty exciting stuff, huh? Then why is Drew in a coma?
Well, these folks say it’s because some TPiR staff members felt the contestant had help (you may know this better as “what happens in every damn episode”) from an audience member who’d memorized the prices. They say the taping was even paused for almost an hour because the staff members were so uneasy. That may be true, but even so, if they decided to go ahead with the taping and accept this outcome as legitimate, then act like it’s legitimate. That was a pretty cool moment. Shame it was treated with all the fanfare of passing a stone.
And in much happier news, after the jump is the first episode of season two of Flight of the Conchords, generously provided by HBO to Funny or Die. [Available in the US only; sorry, other countries.]
